Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an experienced Intune Systems Administrator to join one of our largest higher education clients. This brand new team within the Client Services group is focused on the R&D and net new solutions for campus Windows & Mac operating systems, often focusing on endpoint operations security.
This individual role surrounds endpoint engineering with a focus on designing and implementing Intune (expert-level) and Autopilot for automated/zero-touch Windows deployments. Each team member brings a unique set of skills to the table, from PowerShell command-line aficionados to Windows server gurus. Candidates who are local to CA are preferred, but this position is fully remote operating on PST.
Role Details & General D2D:
Design and implement Microsoft Intune solutions for endpoint management, including
-Hybrid AD and Azure AD (Entra ID)
-Device enrollment (Autopilot, manual, etc.)
- Configuration policy creation and deployment (security, access control, compliance)
-Application deployment (Windows apps, mobile apps, line-of-business apps)
-Migrate on-prem group policies to Intune policies and configuration profiles
Endpoint Security Management
-Implement and maintain security baselines and compliance policies using Intune.
-Manage device encryption (Bitlocker) and conditional access for secure access to organizational resources.
-Monitor endpoint health and ensure adherence to security best practices.
Intune Monitoring and Maintenance:
-Generate reports to track device health, compliance status, and application usage.
-Identify and troubleshoot endpoint management issues.
-Stay informed about new Intune features and updates, ensuring the environment is up-to-date.
-Continuously refine and improve the Intune environment based on usage data and best practices.
Collaboration
-Develop and maintain documentation
-Collaborate effectively with other IT teams (Security, Help Desk) and provide training to ensure seamless integration of Intune with other IT systems

Skills and Requirements
3+ years in a Systems Admin or related role administering Microsoft Intune in a production environment
Experience and understanding managing Windows with on-prem Active Directory and group policies
Strong understanding of Microsoft Endpoint Management (MEM) technologies, including Intune and Azure AD.
Knowledge of the design, development and application of Intune technology and systems to meet business needs; ie. has experience administering Intune from design/inception to deployment/completion & maintenance.
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell preferred) for automating Intune tasks.
Knowledge of long-term best practices for implementing Intune and Autopilot and security best practices for endpoint devices. Ideally has experience writing technical documentation & training new users or junior admins as well.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience with legacy identity management system Shibboleth.
Experience with Mac (& BASH scripting), DELL, & Jamf.
Experience with HCL BigFix & MDT (Microsoft Deployment Tool) for deployments.
