Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

This position works 10-hour shifts with a rotating day off.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates a willingness to learn new skills as well as educate others in their areas of expertise. Serves as a resource for new hires and students. Demonstrates the ability to function independently and perform services at other facilities including on call responsibility. Performs all job responsibilities of an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist II Works as team member within assigned area to expedite patient care efficiently by demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills. Effectively communicates with physicians, co-workers, managers, and patients in assigned sites and/or departments. Completes yearly project designed for the service line and or for implementation at the system level, content agreed upon with management. Content areas include but not limited to: evidence-based practice change; service line workgroup leadership; quality improvement; research. Demonstrate mastery of all equipment utilized for procedures. Active role in inventory management as assigned. Assures that annual lead apron testing is completed. Active participation in quality improvement activities for department as well as system level workgroups
