Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Description
As the Staff Accountant, you will be an important member of the Coastal Division Finance/Accounting team responsible for helping assemble the company financials. You will be responsible for the day-to-day transactions of the business. You will be responsible for entering the AP invoices and creating the weekly payment report. You will work with internal information, such as budgets, and expenses, to continuously update and ensure their accuracy. Month-end responsibilities will include composing journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and helping to research variances to budget. This position is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Responsibilities
+ Complete balance sheet reconciliations after month-end and complete any adjustments required.
+ Prepare monthly journal entries in the ERP system (D365 F&O).
+ Reconcile the bank account daily.
+ Assist in compliance with sales tax regulations.
+ Track expenses and report to management.
+ Assist with researching variances to budget.
+ Assist with the preparation of the fiscal budget and forecasts throughout the year.
+ Assist with information for the weekly cashflow forecast using various purchasing and sales reports developed in the system.
+ Perform three-way matching of purchases and enter invoices into ERP system.
+ Create the weekly payment journal for all AP payments to be made.
+ Actively monitor item and product costs to ensure accuracy and completeness of details.
+ Perform ad-hoc analysis/project when requested.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent (preferred but not required)
+ 2+ years in a manufacturing environment with experience in inventory
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work effectively and efficiently as an individual and as a team member to achieve a common goal
+ Self-motivated and forward-thinking, proactive in investigating issues/variances
+ Attention to detail
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, always-evolving environment
+ Strong Excel and Office 365 skills
Work Environment
Onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Monday-Friday. Work for a growing company in the marine industry offering extensive benefits including growth opportunities, 401k with employer match, insurance (dental, vision, health), HSA, PTO, etc.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr.
