We’re looking for an Inventory Accounting Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team. In this role, you will lead, grow and develop our inventory accounting activities with the support of a Senior Inventory Accountant. This role partners with operational, technical and strategic teams across the organization and reports to the Global Controller. This is a hybrid position (onsite Tues-Thurs) in our Philadelphia or Miami office.You Will:Review month-end accounting activities, including variance analysis and account reconciliations to provide accurate inventory valuation and reportingPerform monthly purchase price variance and inventory adjustment analysisAnalyze monthly and/or quarterly inventory obsolescence and calculates the provision for reservesWork with accounting, supply chain and IT personnel to develop reconciliation processes and understand significant changes in our inventory balancesPrepare monthly actuals vs budget and gross margin analysis while partnering with FP&A to bridge variancesPerform ad hoc analysis related to inventory and COGS (cost of goods sold)Establish, implement and document policies and procedures related to inventory accounting, including reserves, intercompany transfers and reconciliationsDesign, test and implement automated process solutions (ideally leveraging the Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory module) with a focus on simplification, standardization and optimization, especially the reduction of manual, Excel-based activitiesServe as a key point of contact for external auditors and consultants for inventory process flows and testing; prepare schedules and analysis for external auditAssist with other ad-hoc accounting and finance needs or projects.You Have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or CMA preferredA minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting for multi-site inventory operationsStrong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 705Working knowledge of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory moduleAdvanced Excel capabilities and an aptitude for data manipulation, investigation and analysisExperience with system integrations and development of automated processesExcellent people management skills with a passion for developing team membersStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent project management and leadership skillsAbility to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a remote team environment and meet deadlinesBenefits: We want to help our employees stay safe and healthy!
