Job Description

As the Inventory Analyst, you will be playing a critical role in maintaining our demand driven planning model (DDP) using the Orchestr8 (O8) system in conjunction with SAP/Oracle. You will work with the system to create buffers for our inventory for all brands across Fortune Brands Innovations and manage optimized inventory levels as an input to the materials planning and master scheduling processes. You will review outcomes, establish & maintain system configurations, as well as lead master data governance activities related to materials planning. Your key performance metrics in this role will center around the balance of customer service levels and inventory productivity for Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN).

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree along with experience in materials and demand planning, inventory management, and analytics in a demand driven planning environment, or have used systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Orchestr8.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of our North Olmsted (OH) office. 

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

Review and maintain the system for setting buffers in Orchestr8 (O8) Demand Driven Planning System. This includes maintaining the process, validating data, identifying data issues, performing analyses to optimize service and inventory productivity.Support power-users/planners on questions related to buffers. Seek feedback from Material Planners on routine buffer changes.Perform inventory “What-If” modeling in Orchestr8 (O8) Demand Driven Planning System to determine inventory impacts related to changes in the supply chain.Review the impact of buffer changes on forward plan volumes and how they impact service, capacity. Identify data issues, timing issues, and provide expert analysis. Establish standard processes and ensure consistency in supporting decision making.Perform material master governance over key fields that impact the Demand Driven processes and data model. Work with cross functional teams to continuously improve data quality where needed.Support new supply chain initiatives related to inventory and capacity as needed. This may include performing buffer simulations, determining methods to execute inventory changes and implementing those changes.Review service performance, inventory levels and premium costs required to deliver Quantity-On-Time improvements to target stock levels. Make recommendations to improve inventory performance and work with the appropriate functional managers and teams to ensure metrics are achieved.Support continued integration of all business units into standard supply chain processes.Develop and automate reports to support robust processes, troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.Continuously model excess inventory to determine and eliminate root causes.Provide analytical support for life cycle modeling including new product introduction and End of Life. Support projects to smoothly transition to the new product and minimize obsolete material. Work with project teams as necessary to execute the planned transition on time.

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree is required. A degree in Supply Chain Operations, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain operations, including experience in demand/supply planning and/or inventory optimization.Skilled in data consolidation, analysis and tools such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, as well as detailed knowledge of MRP and pull systems.Demonstrated strong analytical capability as well as experience in process design/redesign and problem solving is required.Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to establish cross functional relationships; ability to use data to influence decision making.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with SAP or Oracle is strongly preferred.Knowledge of Orchestr8 (O8) Demand Driven Planning System and/or DDMRP.
