Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications:

BS degree and/or a combination of three years of experience in a supply chain activities, including material ordering. ERP (Oracle) experience Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Material Planner in our Patterns Business Center at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd. in Cleveland. This position is responsible for the ensuring that customer requirements are meet for the Aerospace Industry prior to shipping. 

 

This is a 1st  Shift position Monday through Friday from 7:00 pm – 3:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

The job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following elements:

Interacts with leadership in order to manage the flow of product through the operation. Ensures that raw materials on hand meet production schedules to support all customer demands. Constant monitoring of all demand schedules from customers; escalates major swings with demand forecasts. Aligns with the plants Inventory position and status; supports audits of inventory and cycle counts to ensure accuracy throughout the year. Support annual physical inventory activities. Supports and is aligned with all EH&S metrics; actively participates, promotes, and complies with all EH&S programs and policies. Perform inventory reconciliation tasks, such as investigating variances between physical counts and system records and adjusting inventory levels as needed. Record, track, analyze and follow up on results. Order production materials to meet customer demand schedule. Coordinate supply/demand with Production Scheduler to provide accurate forecast data to customers. Maintenance Kan-Ban System as needed to meet customer demand schedule. Communicate with receiving team on any receiving discrepancies. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, including participating in cross-functional teams, and providing feedback on process enhancements. Pro-active approach to everyday tasks and challenges. Additional functions as designated by Patterns Business Center Manager.
