Inventory Analyst

Cognizant is a large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies to improve a variety of businesses. We are looking for a new Inventory Analyst to join our team in Palo Alto. This role is considered hybrid but is mostly onsite. Inventory Analysts are the intermediary between the Field Solutions and Logistics teams. This role will help ensure material gets distributed to the required locations throughout the product life cycle.

Some examples of included materials:

Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) for field repairs Devices used to support sensor platforms Items for production builds SO-report hardware for production builds and spares Raw materials for hubs/facilities Items required for development and prototyping projects

Tasks & Responsibilities
Daily/Weekly Tasks:

Interact with the logistics team Request inbound/outbound material movements for field (repairs, remote refurbishments, field upgrades, and builds). Usage and/or disposition needs to be included in request to ensure accurate material movement Request production orders as the need arises for changes to operations Request material disposition at field and hub locations as required Move material for Repair Stations as required Assist logistics with technical expertise for class A GPN cycle count Complete tasks required for equipment orders Includes opening launch tickets, material requests, etc Maintain local consumable and so-report inventories at hubs/ remote facilities Monitor requests from CCB meeting and implement changes as needed Update and maintain Nostradamus data for material movements Platforms deploying or returning from field Material movements to/from repair stations Material movements to/from hubs Distribute material as requested by project owners Communicate with procurement team Production builds Material/supplies for FS team Fulfill requests from PgM for creating new BOMs configurations for specific project requirements Work with packaging designers and testers if new packaging is needed

Monthly/Quarterly Tasks

Monitor equipment delta dashboard for all platforms and initiate corrective actions Monitor available spares at hubs, deployed spares and Service Centers and escalate projected shortages. Manage equipment inventory and forecasting spares quarterly. Assist logistics with technical expertise for class B GPN cycle count

Bi-annual/Annual Responsibilities

Assist physical inventory counts at Field Solutions facilities Hubs Repair stations Labs or partner locations Assist logistics with technical expertise for class C GPN cycle count Review SAP Inventory Min/Max level settings Review documentation and highlight workflow/process changes to PgM

Desired Skills & Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred 1-3 years of relevant experience Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) experience SAP Logistics Inventory forecasting

Salary and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $32 – $35 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
