Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Inventory Analyst Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the work activities and resources necessary to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production reporting accuracy for the complex. Investigates discrepancies in documentation and variances that could impact reporting accuracy. Ensure that all trends and reports are updated in a timely manner and accurately. Lead the month end process for the production reporting team. This position always has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises Production Inventory Analysts Ensures accurate, organized, and up-to-date records and reports. Performs clerical tasks related to the movement of egg, rework, packaging materials and other ingredients and supplies needed for final product. Verifies the accuracy of all production reports. Updates and maintains an accurate liquid and shell egg inventory balance. Investigates discrepancies and updates as needed. Maintains consistent communications with leadership, production reporting, and plant accounting teams. Conducts regular department meetings and addresses any personnel issues. Ability to work cross functionally and constructively with other departments. Ability to analyze data and identify trends that may need to be escalated to leadership. Encourages suggestions from employees which will improve production, quality, safety and/or control costs of production. Keeps leadership informed of discrepancies and issues as they arise. Enforces company policies in a fair and consistent manner. Follows proper SOP’s (Standard Operation Procedures) Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures, and to incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Adheres to Quality work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality. Ensures regulatory compliance at all times. Able to perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Access SAP experience preferred. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an inventory analyst/warehousing role. Ability to effectively coordinate and supervise all department functions. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and effective organization. Able to multi-task and complete responsibilities in a timely fashion. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before leadership, groups, or employees of the organization. Proficient at basic math and algebra, including understanding of unit of measure conversions, percentages, and ratios. Ability to create and understand Excel formulas, spreadsheets, and graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills. Able to direct, train and motivate department personnel. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Ability to recognize problem situations, investigate and take appropriate steps to resolve. Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments. Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment. Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction. Displays responsible behavior at work.
