To execute and be responsible for inventory for the facility including, materials co-ordination, materials provisioning (sourcing and purchasing), inventory control, subcontract management and full responsibility for managing the day to day running of the stores.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Materials Provisioning and Purchasing
To provide and expedite new, used, exchange and subcontract materials for all engine work scopes and satisfy stock requirements for high volume consumables. This will involve the procurement of spare parts, monitoring and progressing delivery with vendors to ensure on time delivery utilising the SAP system.
Responsible for the purchasing processes for both engine related and non-engine related products and services
Inventory Control
To schedule and control the company’s inventory assets, maintaining a careful balance between providing a high-level service and meeting stock turn ratios. Manage Excess and Obsolescence (E&O) in accordance with company targets. Collaborate closely with the US & Canadian materials team.
Stores & Workshop Support
To ensure bonded stores are kept under tight control and to manage the Materials Technician, objectives, projects and day to day priorities and act as back-up service as and when required.
Experience
8+ years materials management. Inventory experience in managing warehousing and its processes.
Degree desirable or equivalent experience
Purchasing experience.
Inventory Reporting Experience
Experience in aviation industry (desirable)
Team player – good interpersonal skills

Ensure that products and services meet the requirements of customers, quality standards and airworthiness authorities
Prioritise own workload within overall departmental and Company requirements
Assist in training of others ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Actively participate in CORE activity and Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, working practices and team efficiency
Be aware of, and adhere to, Company policies and procedures including; Environmental Health and Safety Regulations, Business Ethics, Export Controls, and financial controls.
Maintain positive working relationships with all internal departments and attend meetings if requested.
Actively participate in company wide projects as directed by your Supervisor
Actively utilize the digital platforms available for effective collaboration
Actively search for and implement ways to make departmental and inter-departmental processes highly efficient
