Job DetailsJob Title: Inventory Assistant
Location: Leeds Service Centre LS11 0LR
Rate of pay: £12.10 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 30 hours per week (6 hours per day) must be flexible to work the hours between 0630-1630 due to business needs) with some occasional Saturdays
Job Purpose:
To accurately verify the actual stock balance and expiry date of stocked lines via counts and audits performed according to procedure and at agreed rates, and carry out other Inventory related clerical duties. Flexibility will be needed for working hours to support the needs of the business between the hours of 0630 and 1630.
Manual Handling - essential
It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending, being able to use a ladder and lift large heavy boxes are “essential requirements” of this role.
Key Accountability
Accurately check and record the result of stock counts, whilst complying with current stock counting procedures and maintaining relevant performance levels. This does include working in a cold environment at times.
Take action on PIP Code Changes and Returns Date Checks.
Product Recall / Stop Distribution action and reporting.
Completion of IWT’s when requests are sent to site
Meet all Health and Safety requirements.
Carry out any reasonable request as determined by Management.
Expiry checks and date rotation

Key Working Relationships:
This role includes working closely with other staff within the Inventory department and other employees and management within and outside of the Service Centre.
Level of Decision Making:
On completion of training this role does have some autonomy in decision making. The person employed in this role will be expected to use their initiative when dealing with Balance On Hand discrepancies and other queries in conjunction with other members of the Inventory department.
Additional Information:
The Job Holder will be required to undertake regular rotation to other roles within the department as part of continuity plans to ensure trained cover is maintained.
