Inventory Associate
**Job Title: Inventory Associate** **Job Description** As an Inventory Associate, you will work closely with the Supply Chain department to create an inventory cycle count program and ensure accurate data collection. Your role involves maintaining inventory cycle counts and physical inventory programs, investigating discrepancies, and organizing materials to ensure accurate counts. **Responsibilities** + Work with the Supply Chain department to create an inventory cycle count program and ensure accurate data collection. + Maintain inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs. + Complete all cycle counts as directed by the Inventory Control Coordinator. + Provide the Inventory Control Coordinator with written daily documentation of potential inventory issues. + Develop a process to track inventory held in multiple locations and ensure it's in the correct location for production. + Investigate, track, and reconcile inventory discrepancies; forward results to the Inventory Control Coordinator for adjustments. + Identify and improve existing business processes impacting inventory through personal observation and user interaction. + Perform checks of incoming raw materials and report any issues. + Organize material locations to ensure accurate counts of inventory. + Work with production and shipping supervisors to ensure inventory moves are tracked correctly. + Assist in implementing tagged locations for inventory and barcode scanning. + Safely operate material handling equipment. + Investigate and report root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies. + Use Fishbowl, handheld scanners, and manual recording in the course of performing duties. **Essential Skills** + 1+ year experience with inventory control. + Experience with both RF scanning and manual counting. + Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships at all levels. + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. + Strong computer skills. + Knowledge of Fishbowl preferred. + Strong math skills. + Accuracy and attention to detail. + Knowledge of distribution operations, including equipment, materials, and workflow. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height. + Capability to perform activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, and seeing. + Must be able to work in an environment with potential slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, and fumes or odors. **Why Work Here?** We offer a variety of competitive benefits for our employees, including 10 paid holidays, 17 PTO days, company-paid single coverage medical, dental & vision benefits, 401(k) with up to 6% employer match, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts. **Work Environment** The work environment is very friendly and family-oriented with a laid-back atmosphere, yet deadline-driven. The facility is refurbished and located on Main Street. Note that it is not temperature-controlled, so it can be hot during the summer.
