Job Description

We are seeking an Inventory Associate for a fast-paced parts room. The role requires the utilization of a sit-down forklift for 50% of the day, managing and tracking over 200,000 pieces of inventory, pulling orders, and receiving 10-15 truck shipments per day. The ideal candidate will assist the production team in finding specific parts, perform quality checks on shipments, and use the Oracle system to locate parts. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize urgent needs and troubleshoot part requests are essential.

Work Environment

Our facility is a large steel mill located at the port, featuring large equipment and an older infrastructure. The temperature inside mirrors the outside weather conditions. The parts area is managed by a team of 5, and the role involves interaction with truck drivers and other employees. Training will occur during the day from 7 am to 3 pm, but candidates must be open to all shifts. After joining the union, the work schedule will alternate between 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am, with schedules posted the week prior.

The pay range for this position is $47257.60 - $47257.60/yr.
