The Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Worldwide Inventory team is responsible for the management of all Lenovo ISG components and finished goods inventory in our manufacturing and distribution centers around the globe. The Senior Inventory Category Manager will have worldwide ownership over one or more categories of component or finished goods inventories. Examples of categories managed by the Inventory team include:

 Server Commodities: CPU, SSD, HDD, Memory  Electronic Cards (ECAT): Motherboards, Feature Cards, Network Cards  Structural Components: Chasses, Cables, Mechanicals

This role will focus on one of our major Cloud Service Provider (CSP) customers.  The primary job duties of the Senior Inventory Category Manager include:

Developing accurate (weekly) month-end and quarter-end focused inventory roadmaps and associated business outlooks, reflective of expected business performance.Determine optimal business Inventory levels to enable/ support the associated business performance modeling.Work with Finance as required, supporting month-end closing activities.Partner with Business Planning, Order Execution, and Global Supply Management to develop strategies to achieve Days Of Inventory (DOI) and Gross Inventory targets, optimizing inventory holdings across each location and Product category.Maintain best-in class levels of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory, working effectively and efficiently with the cross-functional teams across the Global organization.Track inventory aging at all sites worldwide; identify potential E&O inventory risks to the respective Stakeholders across the organization, and drive associated corrective actions across the business to mitigate these risks.Ensure timely identification of site rebalance opportunities to support the attainment of both serviceability and inventory objectives.Work closely with the Global Commodity Management and Global Supply Management teams to understand inventory liability at sub-tier component suppliers, working to identify opportunities to dissipate/ minimize such liabilities, or (where this isn't possible) to work to budget accordingly.Work with the manufacturing and distribution locations to facilitate the timely disposition of aged inventory through broker and scrap processes.Collaborate across the WW Inventory team and other key organizational stakeholders to drive relevant business process improvement projects and improve data automation and visualization. 

 Required Skills & Experience:

 Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field  5-7 years experience in an Inventory Management role, responsible for inventory optimization and/or risk management. Strong preference for experience in high-tech/enterprise computing environments. Deep analytical skills: able to effectively manage large datasets and identify trends and opportunities for improvement  Experience leading cross-functional projects/programs to drive business improvement  Strong financial acumen with a clear understanding of how business decisions impact the bottom line  Excellent written communication and presentation skills  Fluent in English

 Preferred Skills & Experience:

 Adept at using BI visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, QLIK, Tableau)  Ability to code (VBA, SQL, Python)  Experience using/implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies  Previous experience working with server components Previous experience working with Cloud Service Providers
