Job Details

GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

Calibrates inventory accuracy of warehouse and pick line locations on which inventory flow (reorder) decisions are based.

 

Will perform cycle counts for Crossdock items. Tracks all audits that are completed and send to DC Admins.Compile and maintain records on stocked materials, post results to inventory records, validate inventory records regularly, perform investigations on discrepancies, make corrections on inventory records as necessary, maintain and update inventory records through reconciliation, and develop and assist in implementation of efficient inventory management procedures.Verifies all SBCC daily counts are completed. Troubleshoots inventory problems Adjusts existing inventory data when necessary. (including submitting problems for receiving, etc.)Participates in ESS sampling and performs counts with external auditor.Follow all company policies, assuring for safetyCycle counts exceeding $1,000 researched along with Manual Adjustments exceeding $2,000.Completes adjustments based on adjustment sheets that are completed (Damages, Store Credits, etc.)Perform other duties as determined by the Inventory Manager Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

Intermediate math skills and analytical skills.Computer skills: ability to navigate specific WMS inventory control programs and Island Pacific programs; understanding of Microsoft software such as Excel and Word.Knowledge of UPC functionality and food date codes.Knowledgeable of packing and shipping units; understanding of receiving process.Knowledgeable of adjustment accounting such as net and absolute adjustments.Knowledgeable of warehouse operations to include layout and types of storage devices.Ability to eliminate distractions and to be able to concentrate and analyze during the counting process.

WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:

Warehouse experience preferred.Prior work experience dealing with inventory or numbers preferred.Educational background with satisfactory results in mathAble to work reliably and independently with little direct supervision are key requirements for this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Heavy lifting up to 65 pounds.Walking long distances.Bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling on a repetitious basis.Cycle Counting: continuous exposure to heat, cold, dust, lighting, and noise; work is conducted in high traffic areas.
