Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in Boulder, Colorado, 80302, United States. This role is vital in the transition and maintenance of our inventory system, which includes dealing with a high volume of data entry, product transfers, and system updates. You will be working on streamlining the inventory process for two different businesses that need to be unified on the same platform.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process inventory transfers from the old system to the new one.
• Handle a high volume of data entry to track product movement and inventory levels.
• Work to overcome any inefficiencies in the new inventory system, and assist with system updates as needed.
• Conduct testing processes after system updates to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Digitally scan incoming product containers, and input their details into the inventory system.
• Regularly monitor the inventory system for any backlog, and work to prevent any delays or interruptions in workflow.
• Collaborate in the scanning and batching process of incoming shipments, including different types of containers (frozen and fresh/refrigerated).
• Work on reducing the number of SKUs in the system to prevent it from becoming overloaded.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites and other inventory software tools to manage and track inventory.
• Ensure the quick turnaround of product reception into the system, ideally within 24 hours of the containers arriving at the port.
Requirements • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Familiarity and experience with inventory software to manage, control, and track stock levels
• Demonstrable skills in managing supplies inventory, ensuring proper storage and maintenance of all items
• Ability to track inventory accurately, noting any discrepancies and reporting them immediately
• Experience in handling warehouse inventory, including receiving, storing, and distributing items
• Capability to manage weekly inventory tasks, including stock checks and updates
• Knowledge of handling vessels, ensuring their proper storage and maintenance in the inventory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly in Excel for inventory tracking and management
• Strong data entry skills, ensuring accurate and timely entry of inventory details into the system.
