Inventory Clerk Needed!

1st shift 6-2:30pm M-F (OT as Needed)

Job Description

We are seeking an Inventory Clerk to improve workforce productivity and work quality by maintaining a fully stocked spare parts storeroom. The role involves inventory and spare parts analysis, liaising with vendors, and ensuring that the plant receives prompt and efficient service from parts vendors. The Inventory Clerk will also kit parts for future maintenance work, maintain close contact with the Maintenance Manager, and be the primary owner of the Bill Of Materials for all equipment at the facility.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain a fully stocked spare parts storeroom to improve workforce productivity and work quality.Conduct inventory and spare parts analysis.Liaise and coordinate between vendors and maintenance to facilitate proper inventory of needed parts.Ensure that the plant receives prompt, efficient, and quality service from parts vendors.Kit parts for future maintenance work to reduce potential delays and maximize maintenance workforce efficiency.Lift 50 to 70 lbs as required.Maintain close contact with the Maintenance Manager to ensure storeroom activities occur with minimal disruption to production operations.Review and screen each work order to ensure that any parts needed are in stock and properly kitted.Identify inventory issues, increase stock as required, and facilitate efficient maintenance through a clean and organized storeroom.Act as the primary owner of the Bill Of Materials for all equipment at the facility.Facilitate maintenance productivity by properly kitting parts and communicating with the planner/scheduler when parts are available so jobs can be scheduled.Maintain parts records in CMMS.Monitor and analyze part failure data along with the Maintenance Manager to detect usage trends.Develop spare parts plans based on parts consumption history.Identify and obtain materials (kits as appropriate), entering material needs on the work order if needed.Maintain backlog files of spare parts needed and not in stock.Verify availability of parts and materials required for execution before scheduling.Essential SkillsExperience with inventory control and management.Proficiency in SAP.Strong stockroom management skills.Experience with data entry and cycle counts.Excellent computer skills.Ability to lift 50 to 70 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.

- PTO - 40 hours for 1 year
80 hours - 2 years
120 hours - 5 years
- Benefits - Health Medical Vision Dental HSA available after 90 days
- 6% 401K Match
