2nd Shift – Inventory Control, 12 Tradeport Rd, Wilkes-Barre, PA
Position:
Inventory Control Specialist with Merchandise Inspection and Cycle Counting
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct thorough merchandise inspections to identify quality issues, damages, or discrepancies.
+ Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
+ Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory systems.
+ Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to reconcile discrepancies.
+ Monitor inventory levels and alert management of low stock or potential stockouts.
+ Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for accurate inventory movements.
+ Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
+ Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues.
+ Prepare reports and analyze inventory data for improvement.
+ Assist in developing inventory management strategies.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
+ Proven experience in inventory control, merchandise inspection, and cycle counting.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
+ Conduct regular physical count cycle counting.
+ Utilize cycle counting techniques for precise inventory counts.
+ Perform detailed merchandise inspections and update records.
+ Collaborate with purchasing department to reconcile purchase orders.
+ Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies.
+ Maintain accurate inventory records.
+ Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
