Inventory Control Accountant

An Inventory Control Accountant oversees inventory management and cost control in food and beverage operations. They provide financial analysis, maintain accurate records, and support internal procedures. Responsibilities include updating inventory requisitions, analyzing procurement, and collaborating with departments. They conduct reconciliations, implement loss prevention, and compile reports. This role demands attention to detail, communication skills, and a focus on meeting deadlines while ensuring asset security.

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: 

·         Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.

·         Practice excellent guest service skills at all times to include, but not limited to, addressing customers/vendors/suppliers/team members needs courteously, promptly, and professionally.

·         Monitor Input & update Warehouse Inventory requisitions daily into the Stratton-Warren purchasing system and troubleshoot/resolve any questions therein with Warehouse mananagement and/or team members.

 

Support food and beverage operations in all facets of inventory, cost transfers and overall food & beverage cost control. Maintain accurate inventory and spoilage best practices. Assist operational teams with internal inventory and purchasing best practices to develop standardized procedures. Utilize the inventory purchasing system to identify and address gaps in the procurement and inventory processes within the venues. Serve as a liaison for Finance and Food & Beverage and compliance support. Work with the enterprise data teams to execute analytics projects that support all cost of goods management efforts including pricing and product optimization processes and strategies. Serve as key stakeholder, partnering with department heads and accounting team during periodic inventory cycles and month-end closing process. . Responsible for the accounting of all month-end inventories, adjustments, and variances to ensure they are recorded properly. Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business. Implementing loss prevention programs to prevent inventory shrinkage.

·         Compile Stratton-Warren related information, complete and submit reports to authorized management or Accounting as required.

·         Meet all department or company project and assignment requirements and deadlines.

·         Protect and preserve assets of the company.

Bachelor’s degree preferred (Finance or Accounting). 3 years related experience in inventory control and accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage wholesaler experience is required Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications. Good verbal & written communication skills Capacity to work independently with minimal direction. Knowledge of the hotel/casino industry a plus Experience with Stratton-Warren purchasing system preferred. Knowledge of financial software systems Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills required. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various department groups and managers. Must have the ability to interact with team members, management, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems/issues in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
