Primary Purpose:
You have the practical logistics experience; this is your opportunity to bring your people, project and resource management skills to the fore. You'll supervise individuals, assign and direct the implementation of tasks and establish business controls and processes, all to ensure the right product is delivered to the right place at the right price.
Bring your logistics and warehousing expertise to a growing team where we develop systems and processes to support our Global Life Sciences instruments and consumables business. The Inventory Control Supervisor provides materials, equipment, and supplies by leading receiving, warehousing, and distribution services and supervising staff.
This Shift is from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm (Monday - Friday)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises individual contributors responsible for inventory activities (cycle counts, delivery resolution, slotting, warehouse optimization) in a distribution and logistics environment
Assigns and directs implementation of tasks and processes in a department or work group
Establishes, maintains business and inventory controls and processes
Maintains a productive team through training, development and accountability
Plans short term labor, capacity and project scope for effective communication to stakeholders
Engineers and slots warehouse for most efficient optimization of material and infrastructure
Reduce operational exceptions through disciplined approach or root cause and corrective action
Maintains and develops operational training programs and supplemental programs for employee on-boarding and development
Maintains operational SOPs and revision needs
Monitors individual and departmental performance against project and departmental goals, provides objective performance feedback to employees for recognition, to assess training and identify any performance improvement needs.
Participates in regulatory and internal quality inspections and is responsible for all issues related to warehouse operations.
Supports and maintains QMS
Provides clear, concise expectations to achieve goals to individual contributors and leadership team
Will support multiple shifts
QualificationsMay require Associate Degree or higher education/specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
1+ years experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs for entry to this level
Experience in inventory control
Advanced Excel skills (including V-Lookup, complex statements)
Experience leading a site wide project for warehouse optimization
Strong technical and analytical skills
Supervisory skills and the ability to design and execute processes
Demonstrated competency with SAP preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use a forklift and related warehouse equipment preferred

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
