Inventory Control Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY: To assist in the purchase of general maintenance supplies and materials for the resort to ensure adequate supplies while maintaining Big Cedar Lodge quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Establish minimum and maximum inventory levels, re-order points and turn-around times on items kept in stock.Maintain a good working relationship with Big Cedar Lodge vendors and Accounts Payable department.Obtain proper authorization on all orders and requisitions.Receive, verify quantities and store all goods purchased.Inventory Control. Alert supervisor immediately of any problems regarding vendors, guests or associates.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred Degree:  N/ACertificate(s) or License(s): Valid MO or AR Driver’s LicenseYears of experience:  2 years or equivalent  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of 10 key accounting software; Maximo Database software; Inventory software; Order processing systems and MS Word, Word-Perfect Word-Processing software.Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryLanguage Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
