SUMMARY:
Records and maintains control of cycle counts for all purchased and manufacturing items
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
+ Counts and cycles inventory based on predetermined schedule, or as required
+ Investigates and finds root cause for all variances >$500
+ Maintains and updates all spreadsheets and databases with cycle counts, items and dollars
+ Acquires proficiency in all areas of Material Management which includes Receiving, Shipping and WIP
+ Reviews inventory transactions to aid in cycle versus perpetual record comparison
+ Inputs and audits daily cycle count program
+ Required to work during all inventories
+ Must drive fork/lift truck
+ Must be able to operate digital scales and scanners
+ Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
MANAGEMENT:
None
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Minimum 2 years inventory control, process flow, shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment preferred
+ Proficiency in using a computer, including MS Office and data-based systems (MRP)
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
+ Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
+ Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

The employee constantly is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is constantly required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts, forklifts, etc.
