What we need:

Mohawk Wood and Laminate division is looking for a dependable and experienced Inventory Control Clerk to join the Materials Department.   This individual will help to maintain accurate records of inventory by handling all paperwork and procedures necessary to meet this goal.  This position helps to account for defective/damaged products and raw materials and follows through with the appropriate corrective action. 

 

What you’ll do:

Perform all daily activities necessary to maintain effective inventory management procedures. This includes maintaining and updating inventory records, abiding by inventory management procedures, reconciling inventories to book records, make adjustments when necessary, and assisting with the annual physical inventory procedures. Make recommendations to manager on programs to improve the management of inventory when appropriate. Ensure all damaged/defective products is accounted for and properly handled. Maintain records to accurately track recouped product and return saleable product to stock. Conduct as necessary, any search to locate products/materials within the internal business system. Adjust records when there are discrepancies between actual product and records. Take steps to correct and prevent discrepancies. Perform cycle counts for parts, pallets, C-grade, and raw materials on a regular basis with the direction of the site’s Logistics coordinator. Maintain all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts, and adjustments. Complete and issue all necessary records and report including filing invoices and maintaining customer records. Receive, verify, store materials in the appropriate location. Use Locus and/or SAP when receiving material. Operates equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; ensures that equipment is in working order. Coordinate pickup from vendors, UPS, and/or USPS. Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervisor. Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary Perform other tasks assigned by management

What you have:

High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of forklift experience 2+ years of experience using SAP and/or Locus software programs 1-3+ years of experience with cycle counts 1-3+ years of personal computer experience

 

What you’re good at:           

Basic computer skills Excellent communication skills Good math skills, including the knowledge of arithmetic and its applications. Excellent time management skills Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

 What else?

This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures. Other working conditions may include working long hours and flexible shifts, including holidays. Required safety equipment: steel toed shoes, ear plugs, gloves, and safety glasses.
