Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Schedule: Monday through Friday

The **Inventory Control & Returns Specialist** role is integral in ensuring that all inventory is accounted for and managed optimally. This Inventory Control & Returns Specialist will ensure the effective tracking and placement of materials, process returns, and collaborate closely with various departments to maintain the gold standard of inventory management set by Company.
**Qualifications:**
• **Experience:** A minimum of 3 years in distribution, logistics, inventory control, or a related field.
• **Industry Knowledge:** Familiarity with the Electrical Supply Industry will be advantageous.
• **Analytical Prowess:** Possess strong analytical skills, ensuring decisions are data driven.
• **Communication:** Effective communicator, able to bridge gaps between various departments and stakeholders.
• **Adaptability:** Ability to handle pressure and navigate the ever-evolving dynamics of inventory management.
• **Problem-Solving** : Quick thinking and adept problem-solving capabilities are essential.
• **Safety Conscious:** Ensures that all activities uphold the highest standards of safety.
• **Technological Savvy:** Proficient in using relevant inventory management software and tools.
• **PPE:** Steel toed shoes/boots required (all other PPE will be supplied)
• **Forklift:** Verifiable Forklift Certification (1 – 3 years prior experience required)
• **Driver License:** Current valid driver license
**Essential Job Functions:**
• **Material Management:** Ensure every piece of material is accurately coded and located, whether in primary, secondary, or tertiary placements. Inventory that is not properly allocated is deemed as lost and is unacceptable.
• **Strategic Bin Location:** Place materials in bins to optimize picking. This strategy should prioritize speed and reduce errors, especially by keeping similar items that could be confused apart.
• **Inventory Analysis:** Conduct regular cycle counts of warehouse inventory aligned with management's objectives. Thoroughly investigate any shortages or overages, performing root cause analyses and proposing adjustments to reduce inventory discrepancies.
• **Returns Management** : Scrutinize, reconcile, and process all inbound customer returns. For non-stock return materials, ensure they are sent back to the suppliers. Always keep the company's business systems updated to reflect accurate statuses of each return.
• **Inter-departmental Communication:** Engage actively with sales teams, operations management, customers in the field, and the central returns management and inventory control departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties assigned.
• Work mandatory overtime as needed
**Physical Demands:**
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to lift or pull up to 30 pounds, sit, communicate, reach, manipulate objects, tools, or controls, climb ladders or onto trucks, and/or operate wire cutting machinery and forklifts. The position requires mobility, manual dexterity, and coordination 50% of the time. This position requires employees to walk on concrete or other hard floor (sometimes uneven) surfaces; stand continuously; pull heavy items in warehouse or yard; load and unload trucks from ground level or platform. There will be repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity; repetitive climbing; continuous repetitive kneeling and reaching overhead, above shoulder and below shoulder; twisting and bending.
**Working Conditions:** Warehouse environment. May be exposed to dust, heat, or cold, and other environment seasonal changes. Minimum physical exertion.

**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
