Scope of Responsibility:
This position is responsible for effectively monitoring and utilizing available resources to ensure the organization has access to the materials it needs to meet the expectations of its customers. Ensures the integrity of its financial statements through efficient operations and manufacturing and ensuring the associated transactions are recorded accurately, timely and completely. This position is also responsible for ensuring the achievement of department objectives through performance of assigned duties and responsibilities in compliance with the organization’s high standards for safety, quality, profitability and customer service.
Essential Duties:
Manages, coaches, and develops the receiving and inventory control teams Monitors, evaluates, and possesses working knowledge of equipment needs of the department including, but not limited to, forklifts, trailers, inventory yard materials, and office supplies to maximize operational efficiency, minimize downtime and maintain safetyOversees the execution and reporting of the department’s operational duties including, but not limited to, receiving in-bound shipments, other structural items, and small parts/kitsManages the execution and reporting of the department’s transaction processing duties within the ERP system including, but not limited to: receiving, transfer order process, other structural items and small parts/kits; issuing material to jobs; completion of jobs; quantity adjustments; review of negative inventory; plate move reports (bin locations); and identification of excess and obsolete inventoryManage real time inventory process for accuracy and visibilityPlans, executes and reports all cycle counting procedures and corresponding reconciliation to the ERP systemAccountable for planning, executing and reporting of the annual physical inventory and corresponding reconciliation to the sub-ledger and general ledgerInteracts with divisional and executive management to identify inventory control process changes and develops action plans to capitalize on opportunities for improvementInteracts with finance to ensure accuracy of inventory and manage excess and obsolete material. Maintains a high degree of integrity with regards to professional behavior and safety, organization, and cleanliness in inventory areas of operationPerforms other duties as assigned Regular and on-time attendance Work in your shift as scheduled Getting along with coworkersAdditional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience – Minimum of five (5) years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management
Skills & Abilities:
Must possess exceptional leadership, written and verbal communication, and team-building skillsMust be able to analyze data and possess acute attention to detail while working in a fast-paced work environmentMust have strong analytical and problem- solving skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, along with ERP/MRP manufacturing softwareRegular and timely attendance is required
Physical Requirements:
Position works primarily in a production environment, and requires the use of office equipment such as a computer and phone most of the dayWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, finger, handle or grasp, reach with hands and armsFrequently required to walk, stand, talk and hearMust wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe metatarsal boots and hearing protection at all times while on the production floorOccasionally required to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
