Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist will perform inventory control activities in the warehouse and production area. You will maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products and supplies. Through a cycle counting process you will identify discrepancies with inventory and provide reports to the Warehouse Manager for review. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilize the ERP system to perform receiving functions and material movements.Inspect incoming materials for damage and measure coils for complianceMaintain count accuracy using the ERP system cycle count programReconcile any discrepant countsPrint and attach identifying material tags to containers or pallets at incoming receivingMaintain proper records for all incoming materialsProvide inventory control reports as requiredDispose of obsolete inventory as directedMaintain the cleanliness and organization of material stocking locationsFollow all established safety proceduresBe able to use moving equipment i.e., forklift, pallet jack, etc.Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferredSome work-related experience

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and MESStrong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, both written and verbalUnderstanding of production procedures,Attention to detail Job Footer (US)
