Inventory Control Specialist

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team on site in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting & supply reports and reviews and verifies quantities received.Responsible for performing warehouse functions pertaining to receipt, storage, and stock control operations.Track and maintain the location of records utilizing a computer-based tracking system.Maintain the stock locator system and administer document control procedures.Must perform a full range of warehousing activities to include: receiving, inspecting, inventorying, loading, unloading, segregating, storing, issuing, delivering and process turns-in supplies.Assist in the development of plans for storage and arrangement of stock to determine warehouse configuration, setup, movement, rearrangement, and traffic flow.Ensure accountability when receiving, storing, and issuing inventory.Ensure that special documentation remains with inventory throughout the receiving, storage, and issuing processes.Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials within the warehouse shipping/receiving area and ensure safe receipt, storage, and movement of Sensitive Items and Hazardous Material products, in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.Prepare inventory and production reports, screen and identify shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies, and direct stock for shipping or storage.Repair and construct fiberboard or wooden containers; packs, crates, stencils, weighs and bands equipment and supplies.Unload, unpack, visually inspect, count, segregate, palletize, and store supplies and equipment.Assist with all processes dealing with inventory procedures to include: equipment inventory layout, component list inventories, sub hand receipts and shortage annex procedures, assist with cyclic and sensitive items inventories, relocation of equipment and materials, assist with tracking paperwork processes, safeguarding equipment through key control and storage requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in Warehouse operations.High School Diploma or equivalent.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.Commensurate experience and education.Experience in Customer ServiceExperience using Microsoft 365 productivity tools.

Clearance Requirements:

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.Must be able to work in warehouse and office environments and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; IT service requests; work orders; etc.The majority of work will be performed within a professional office environment. However, warehouse tasks can require the individual to lift and move computer and other equipment up to 50 lbs.in weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded. Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under/behind furniture and server racks.
