**Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist**
**Job Description**
We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist/Material Coordinator to join our team. The role involves executing daily cycle counts, ensuring accurate inventory management, and participating in variance analysis.
**Responsibilities**
+ Execute daily cycle counts, ensuring all items are counted.
+ Follow the A item count schedule monthly, B item count schedule quarterly, and C item count schedule twice annually.
+ Ensure counts are performed according to documented procedures.
+ Submit complete and accurate count documents.
+ Document and report any non-conformance to material handling processes to the PCL Manager.
+ Participate as a QRCI team member for variances greater than 5%.
+ Assist in the audit/tracking of permanent corrective action tasks.
+ Review transaction reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting and processing of production activity.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2 or more years of experience in production in an industrial environment (automotive preferred).
+ Skilled problem solver with strong mathematical abilities.
+ Computer literate with experience in all facets of materials scheduling, planning, and inventory control techniques.
+ Knowledge of FCS/SAP is a plus.
+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
+ Sound organizational skills.

**Work Environment**
The position is based in a 340,000 square foot facility built in 2012, which is very clean and updated. The facility operates across 3 shifts with approximately 1,000 employees. We have 2 full-time nurses on staff for any injuries. The work is on the plant floor in a fast-paced environment with a 1.5-day lead time on all production, which operates on a semi-Just-In-Time (JIT) basis. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, Michigan.
