Inventory Control Specialist

What you will do


Duties and Responsibilities
•    Monitors and maintains current inventory records in SAP database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports
•    Ensures all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
•    Investigate and reconcile discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
•    Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
•    Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
•    Report any stock issues to management 
•    Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures and loss prevention programs
•    Perform process and system testing and track performance by area to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency
•    Prepare a survey of unusable products, check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
•    Coordinate with Quality, Material Control and Logistics teams to maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
•    May lead, guide, and train supervisors and/or employees performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation
•    Lead others in safe work practices, especially when in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
•    Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry
•    Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Who are you?

Minimum Job Requirements
•    High school diploma/GED required
•    Some college preferred
•    2+ years’ experience in inventory control
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
•    SAP experience preferred
•    Excellent written and verbal communications skills
•    Exemplary mathematical and analytical skills
•    Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed
•    Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction
•    Knowledge of manufacturing or distribution center operations preferred
•    Demonstrated ability to self-start with little or no direction preferred
