The Inventory Control specialist is expected to fully understand all warehouse processes to proficiently execute online fulfillment center activities and Standard Operating Procedures. Under the direction of the shipping/receiving manager and/or fulfillment center manager will perform the duties of counting and verifying product in the fulfillment center using handheld devices or forms as handling obsolete inventory and validating processes are in place per SOPs. **Essential Job Functions** + Perform all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse. + Operate and maneuver material handling equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions. + Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections (follow LEAN principles). + Conduct accurate cycle count of inventory locations per handheld device/forms in the warehouse and make system updates as required + Research and resolve inventory variances + Respond to purchaser requests for item checks in the warehouse + Coordinate the handling of obsolete and at-risk inventory (vendor returns and recalls) to include: identifying, communicating, adjusting, and validating product. + Monitors the return of product and complete the return log + Review the daily unshipped report and investigate the reason why orders appeared on the report + Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, coworkers and supervisors. + Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work full time or overtime, if necessary. **Education/Experience** + No prior work experience required, 2-3 years of experience preferred: prior warehouse experience preferred. + High School diploma or GED required. **Competencies** + Exhibits sound and accurate judgement. + Uses time efficiently. + Reacts well under pressure. + Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. + Observes safety procedures. **Work Environment** + Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, pickers, reach trucks, push carts, and wire cutting, paralleling, and pulling head installation machines, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturers’ instructions and safety instructions. + Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including the ability to perform physical requirements, adapt to seasonal changes. **Supervisory Responsibility** This position has no supervisory responsibilities. **Physical Demands** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
