Inventory Control Specialist

Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing material orders from internal customers. This position ensures orders are accurate, materials are available, and data is entered into the appropriate systems to track inventory. The Inventory Control Specialist will manage material orders, respond to order status inquiries, and generally keep all our orders flowing smoothly. You will be the primary point of contact for the customer after the order has been received.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Receive and process material orders.
+ Responsible for preliminary review of all incoming orders for all necessary information
+ Coordinate cancellation requests and notify the Warehouse staff of any cancellations
+ Responsible for the coordination of activities and the interaction with other departments such as Finance, Frontline, Maintenance, and Logistics, to ensure shipments are made on time
+ Work with customers to ensure order accuracy
+ Enter all orders into inventory system for tracking purposes
+ Communicate inventory levels with customers
+ Communicate orders to Warehouse team for fulfillment
+ Complete Bill of Lading for all shipments
+ Assist with loading trucks and customer pick-ups as needed.
+ Prepare items for shipping, noting contents, delivery methods and other logistical details
+ Processes orders in a timely manner to ensure delivery meets the requirements of internal Company customer
OTHER DUTIES
+ Ensure all activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ Promote a culture of safety and proactive maintenance practices.
+ Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
+ Implement best practices and contribute to the development of company procedures.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to type 45 words per minute.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
+ Work environment occasionally includes exposure to characteristic construction site dangers and exposure to working in outside elements in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
+ Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
+ Salary Range: $20-$25/HR
