Your role and responsibilities

The Inventory Control Supervisor oversees warehouse operations, managing a team of employees who receive, handle, store, and dispatch products, systems, and services to customers. This is an on-site position based in Florence, SC. This role is contributing to the Electrification Service division in the United States.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tCoding and preparing proper receipt/dispatch paperwork.•\tEnsuring maintenance of equipment and facilities and identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.•\tOptimizing warehouse capacity, inventory, and floor utilization and supervising and assisting in daily warehouse and shipping operations.•\tRecommending measures to improve service quality, increase departmental efficiency, and boost the performance of work crews and equipment; and ensuring stock accuracy by conducting periodic stock takes and/or cycle counting.

Qualifications for the role

High School Diploma / GED required, as well as 8+ years in warehouse / internal logistics.Experience leading and/or managing teamsAbility to demonstrate your experience in warehouse operations, managing a team of employees who receive, handle and store, pull, kit products for production orders. Ability to have established advanced skills/knowledge in ERP systems (preferred SAP), cycle counting, managing inventory levels and ensuring efficient maintaining of inventory and storage areas.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
