Inventory Control Supervisor

As an Operations Supervisor at DHL Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouses. Your responsibilities go beyond daily management –; you will be instrumental in implementing processes to optimize our warehouse operations. Job Description:

\n\nLead, motivate and develop a diverse team of frontline associates by providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while also developing a strong team culture of inclusion and belonging.\nTake proactive measures to consistently uphold compliance with health and safety regulations, fostering a culture of heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance and identify areas of improvement. Provide regular reports and analysis to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for enhancing warehouse operations.\nFoster an environment of open communication and collaboration, facilitating regular and effective dialogue among leadership and associates to promote transparency, alignment, and teamwork.\n\n

Required Education and Experience:

\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred.\n1+ years operations experience in a lead/supervisor/management role, preferred.\n1+ years logistics industry experience, preferred.\nStaff management, workload planning, objective setting and organizational skills, preferred.\n\n

Job Description

To provide guidance and coordination of the non-exempt Inventory Control Team daily activities necessary to maintain accurate inventory records relative to the client service level agreement.The Inventory Control Supervisor will assist site Inventory Control and Operations Leadership and Operations Peers in assessing inventory inaccuracies and recommending corrective action necessary to support continuous process improvement and operational excellence.


Ensure customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contractual requirements / service level agreements are monitored and reported timely to site leadershipMaximize the performance of the site inventory processes and system to ensure: Care, custody, and control of customer inventory; Accuracy (to floor and customer book); Proper utilization of information technologyProvide required documentation to customer, customer’s financial statement auditor or appropriate regulatory auditor in support of compliance requirementsEnsure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associatesConduct associate performance reviews, individual development plans and succession plansEnsure company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced at appropriate levelsEnsure associates have proper training and access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned


Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent with work related experience in inventory control, logistics or related discipline, required2+ years relative work experience, requiredBachelors degree or equivalent experience of 4+ years in logistics industry and team supervision, preferredKnowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc., required
