Summary of position:
The Inventory Control Supervisor (ICS) is responsible for supervising Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative’s (SMBSC) storeroom and ensuring inventory integrity. The ICS also serves as a resource and trusted business partner for the Spreckels Sugar Company, Inc.’s (SSCI) storeroom. The ICS helps SMBSC reach its mission by (1) overseeing the flow of inventory to and from the storeroom to ensure all materials are properly stored and accurate and appropriate levels of inventory are maintained to meet operational demands as well as (2) coaching and developing employees to create a skilled workforce for current and future needs. This position schedule is mostly days.
Essential Functions:
Inventory Management
Reviews documentation of all storeroom and chemical activities to ensure compliance; writes, implements, and reviews Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), programs, and specifications; implements protocol Manages on-going inventory cycle counts to ensure proper inventory stock is on-hand to continue operations; calculates reorder points and economic order points annually Utilizes the inventory control system to add, delete, update, and change inventory numbers, descriptions, and items; identifies obsolete items to reduce inventory and ensures current items are readily available Maintains minimum, maximum, and lead time for store items; updates annually; communicates timelines with operations and maintenance personnel Monitors chemical approvals before they are placed in the inventory system Oversees the identification of critical equipment Runs various reports in the inventory control system to assure inventory integrity and accuracy. Helps ensure procurement practices are adhered to and cross trains within the department helping cover job functions while others are out of the office. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies; share relevant information to affected employees and customersEmployee Management

Extensive experience in Business Administration, Inventory Control, or Supply Chain Management 5 or more years of experience operating / managing an industrial inventory 2 or more years working with purchasing Ability to demonstrate knowledge working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Three or more years of experience managing employees.
