Inventory Coordinator 

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE: The Maintenance Inventory Coordinator is responsible for effectively managing the stockroom and tool cage, mastering software productivity tools for inventory control, such as MP2, and managing stockroom inventory services provided by external business partners. Maintenance Planner will fulfill the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Optimize reordering parameters for MRO inventoried items to maintain balanced, accurate and updated records Process purchase requisitions /orders through EAM and LN purchase requisition system for all MRO items and ensures timely processing of all parts into the facility Monitors and assess vendor performance Minimize inventory while ensuring plant overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and asset management goals are met Develop and document standard operating procedures for activities pertaining to stocking, inventorying, checking out and returning of MRO items. Work closely with maintenance personnel to understand the requirements of satellite inventory locations Incorporating visual management and 5S methodology and principles into organizing the stockrooms Ensure that all returned or warranty parts are properly process to ensure the company recovers full credit from the supplier Analyzes and generates reports for stockroom inventory expenses monthly to assist in the management of fiscal budget goals Works with suppliers to repair rebuildable spare parts like drives, and servos. Ensures that all paperwork is accurate and properly submitted in a timely manner Works directly with the maintenance staff to ensure all emergency parts are ordered and expedited if required to minimize the impact on operations

 

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

 

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or G.E.D required. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Ability to work all shifts and perform overtime Experience in inventory management perferred. Able to work with SAP, CMMS like EAM, Maintainx, and MP2. Future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Power Point presentations.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.  Ability to calculate mean, median, and mode, and apply SPC to the quality processes Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Virtual Client to perform effectively in daily activities Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications
