Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for inventory control, weigh up processes, manufacturing parts flow, and inventory reconciliation. The individual in this role will coordinate with supply chain and production to ensure the inventory is accurate and appropriate to meet demands. This role will perform duties within the production and supply chain department as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Cycle Count all production related parts daily – including: Raw Materials, Slab Stock, WIP, and other process area’s Weigh Up and Identify any material variances Manage inventory Determine root cause of inventory discrepancies and financial variances Troubleshoot and Root Cause discrepancies and identified errors Record and Update material part numbers in site ERP system Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations to build a repeatable plan that supports the daily needs of the plant
Must Have:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent At least one year of experience in manufacturing inventory control Ability to read and follow instructions, safety guidelines, and all production labels and work order. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English Ability to manage time effectively, work in varying temperatures, and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods. Basic understanding of keyboard, monitor and hard drive, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint). Must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Good to have:
Previous experience with cycle counting or materials management work, along with knowledge of computers and manufacturing flow preferred.
