Inventory Coordinator
Job Title: Inventory CoordinatorJob Description The Inventory Coordinator plays a key role within the Quality Assurance Center by ensuring that supplies needed for testing and running the facility are available and delivered in a timely fashion. You will be responsible for ensuring that SAP managed materials are stocked and available for use, issuing materials from stock rooms to points of use, reviewing daily counts, identifying potential backorders and shortages, and documenting and tracking the information for analysis. Additionally, you will facilitate resolution to potential material shortages by acting as a liaison with subject matter experts (SMEs) and vendors to identify alternate materials for approval. This role also includes receiving inbound goods, entering goods receipts into SAP, and maintaining stock rooms and receiving areas according to company standards. Responsibilities + Review material levels for departments in scope and replenish points of use. + Perform daily goods issue and upload to SAP for stock room replenishment. + Identify and facilitate resolution or escalate potential material shortages, delivery issues, packing slip, or quality issues. + Investigate and coordinate potential alternate material solutions between SMEs and vendors. + Physically receive supplies, including hazardous chemicals, microbial cultures, or materials weighing ~50 lbs. + Perform goods receipt in SAP and process packing slips. + Conduct cycle counts as directed. + Review and manage daily order confirmations and resolve backorders. + Maintain stock room and receiving areas for cleanliness, organization, and optimization with materials stocked for FEFO or LIFO as appropriate. + Identify, participate, and lead process improvement projects for the department or cross-functionally for the facility. + Participate in operational reviews for both the department and the departments in scope for material support. + Initiate, maintain, and report analytics/measures for processes and transformational projects as assigned. + Provide backfill to departments outside of assigned scope as needed and support in other department activities as assigned. + Effectively communicate with vendors and co-workers, attending conference calls or meetings as needed. + Initiate corrective actions or observations for quality or vendor issues. + Update or initiate SOPs or Standards. + Train other employees as required for any of the functions listed above, demonstrating how to perform the job themselves while training. + Maintain functional knowledge of SAP required to complete job responsibilities within the department, including the use of Access for label creation. + Update SOPs, Forms, Training Records, and train new associates as delegated by managers. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in an Inventory Coordination, MRO, Storeroom, or Purchasing clerk role. + High School Diploma or GED equivalent. + Basic math skills. + Above average communication and customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with cycle counts, inventory management, and supply chain. + Proficiency in data entry and SAP. + Experience in shipping, receiving, and purchasing. Work Environment This role operates Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm with non-negotiable hours. Work will be performed at a desk in a cubicle as well as in the storeroom. The environment requires maintaining cleanliness and organization in stock rooms and receiving areas, with appropriate stocking methods such as FEFO or LIFO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
