Inventory Coordinator (Full-Time)
Description

ChildServe is hiring a full-time Inventory Coordinator. This entry-level role, based out of our Johnston location, will help ensure members of the organization have the products, materials, equipment, and supplies they need to operate efficiently. 
Schedule
Monday - Friday, general business hours

What You'll Do

•    Communicate with staff to understand and fulfill supply needs.
•    Unload, receive, put away, and check in deliveries. Compare what is delivered to the purchase order and packing slips to confirm accuracy. Document discrepancies found in orders and deliveries. Ensure that quantity and quality of materials delivered aligns with organizational standards. 
•    Ensure storage area is clean and organized. Manually handle, repack, or restack pallets/shelves as needed. Use moving equipment like pallet jacks and supply/material carts to move inventory safely and efficiently around the storage area as needed.
•    Monitor and control warehouse inventory by overseeing, directing, and coordinating the movement of supplies, products, and merchandise into and out of the storage area. 
•    Pull and deliver inventory items to locations within the building. Pull and prepare inventory items to be picked up or delivered to offsite locations.
•    Administer computer related transactions as per daily activities.
•    Participate in the semi-annual physical inventory count, and other counts as needed.
•    Participate in the routine rotation of stocked items to ensure items are used prior to expiration date.
•    Act as backup for others in department.  

What You'll Need

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Previous inventory or purchasing experience preferred
•    Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
•    Be able to withstand exposure to the usual childhood diseases and conditions associated with children with disabilities.
•    Lift up to 50lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
•    Maneuver within the physical work environment with some bending, stooping, reaching and light lifting.
•    Must exercise confidentiality regarding the affairs of clients, staff, their families, and ChildServe
•    Work with and safely dispose of hazardous materials including items with potential blood borne pathogens and cleaning supplies/chemicals.
•    Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.
