A day in the Life:Research, track, and complete the release and shipping of products using various proprietary computer systems including an Inventory Management System, Receiving System, Daily Production Scheduler, and national distributors databases (i.e., Fed Ex, UPS, DHL)Manages and verifies the receipt of in house manufactured goods and processes requests based on established standard operating procedures (SOPs).Tracks and receives materials from external vendors and clients using proprietary inventory management system.Receives and issues finished materials to the In Process Inspection Department for final inspection.Applies First In/First Out methodology (FIFO) to issue materials for distribution to all internal departmentsAbility to prioritize and adjust to meet the daily inventory management tasks by monitoring production schedule and shifting prioritiesAbility to effectively communicate work status and changes to schedule needs and calls out issues appropriately to leadershipAbility to proactively handle workload and adjust based on daily priorities to ensure timelines are met and the most cost effective and efficient processes are implementedEnters product and shipment data accurately and customizes shipping per customer specific requirements.Remove and discard expired label inventory per established procedures and timelines.Works together with cross-functional department managers and supervisors to meet company goals and objectives.Multitasks with minimal errors.Accounts for all inventory by ensuring accurate identification of product, this includes issuance, returns and destruction of label IDs.Assists in developing and maintaining procedures by proactively recommending process improvements.Maintains and proactively orders shipping supplies (Boxes, Cartons, Tapes, Bubble Wrap, skids, etc.) to always ensure adequate supply levels.Pack labels into boxes in such a manner as to avoid any damage in transit.Able to safely operate all tools and equipment, forklift trucks, hand trucks, and use of electronic scales.Transporting materials to and from the warehouse using company-assigned vehicle(s).Maintains all work areas in audit ready!Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Must always wear safety shoes.Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Keys to Success:

EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Experience1+ years experience in inventory management or controlAbility to lift up to 30lbsEffective communication skillsProficient in outlook, Microsoft suite Valid NY State Driver’s LicenseShipping experience a plusGMP experience a plusForklift & electric pallet jack experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAbility to use a computer for e-mail and other proprietary software. (training provided for on use of software.Able to do some light to moderate lifting averaging 30 lbs.Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced environmentAbility to run multiple projects simultaneously.Communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing with all colleagues and vendors.Knowledge of customer requirements / profilesMust be available for overtime as needed including weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $15.85–$23.77.
