Scope of Responsibility:
The lead person works under the direction of the Inventory Logistics Supervisor to provide training, guidance, and direction to assigned employees in an efficient, clean, safe, and cost-effective manner in order to achieve the goals and key performance metrics of the company’s objectives. This position is responsible for all activities related to the coordination, organization, and control of inventory for jobs and shipments in a safe, cost effective, timely, and quality manner.
Essential Duties:
Acts as backup for the Supervisor as neededVerification of quantity and quality of purchased items upon receipt as outlined per the Sabre receiving SOPCoordinate material needs with production to support smooth operationsMaintains positive, cooperative, professional, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and production personnelEnsure paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate personnel in a timely mannerManage the locations of all purchased plate and parts physically, and in EpicorCoordinates with the cycle counter to ensure accuracy on cycle counts; assist in the annual year-end auditAssists in loading and unloading trucksEnsure area and equipment are properly maintained according to Sabre safety guidelinesOperate various material handling equipment to include, but not limited to, overhead cranes, forklifts, Mi-JackMust be a self-starter, able to multi-task, and must have strong verbal and written communications skillsAdditional duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Regular and timely attendance is requiredHigh School Diploma or GED preferred; (or) must have successfully demonstrated capabilities in a manufacturing environmentMust be able to read and write in EnglishExperience operating and all-terrain forklift of 15,000# or more and pass Sabre forklift certificationMust be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced team environmentPrevious leadership experience is desirable
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materialsMust be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekendsPosition requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individualMust be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures and weather conditionsMust have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources
