ITW’s Automotive segment designs and manufactures innovative fasteners, interior and exterior components, and powertrain and braking systems for OEMs and their top-tier suppliers. The Smart Components Division drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering. In addition to ITW’s industry-leading research and development capabilities, ITW Body and Fuel enhances our customers’ competitive advantage. Smart Components is a business group within ITW’s Automotive segment with manufacturing locations in North America. Our products are made up of housings and doors, innovative Capless solutions and charge ports for major OEMs around the world.
Summary
Serves as a dedicated resource working directly with the Warehouse Manager and staff to support inventory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer service to expedite shipments as needed for the businessSupport activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of raw materialsIssue POs/releases to suppliers.Conduct cycle countsEffectively communicate and resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence of issues.Responsible for maintaining MOH goals as well as limiting the non-"active" inventorySupport maintenance of MRD systemsParticipate in material management improvement projects (80/20, flow principles, MRD, PLS, etc).Work collectively within the PSD Materials Team to identify, implement, and maintain best practices within our businesses.Must be able to back up team members for vacation days and be willing to work with team on vacation scheduling.Leadership of relevant materials projects as needed.QualificationsMust have an associate degree or actively pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related education.Previous materials, supply chain experience required.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision at times.Ability to build and maintain relationships within the division and externally.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills.Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.Must be detail orientedAbility to read bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, and prints.Strong computer skills; computer skills using Magic, Macola, Windows, Word, Excel and Intranet are required.Ability to meet deadlines as assigned.Competencies
