Inventory & Logistics Coordinator

Summary:

Responsible for all aspects of shipping/receiving and inventory duties within the inventory storage area by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

Performs shipment and receiving duties including arranging for pick up.Pulls and packages items to ensure damage free shipment.Inspects incoming product for damage and correctness.Leads and coordinates daily shipping & receiving activitiesArranges for domestic and international shipments including the preparation of all necessary documents specific to customers' or freight forwarders instructions.Works directly with transport vendors to obtain best rates on shipments.Performs inventory related tasks including stocking/pulling parts, assigning/maintaining stock locations, and supporting inventory manager.Contributes to team efforts and communicates effectively with coworkers.Maintains clean/organized work stations.Ensures shipping supplies are routinely stocked and related shop equipment is maintained and in good working order.Works directly with engineering in regard to incoming documentation and secondary inspections.Ensures customer satisfaction in regard to quality and timely service.Actively demonstrates the LEWA values of inclusion, ownership, respect, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Ensures safe work practices. Attends all HSE related trainings. Maintains company sponsored equipment operation certifications.Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years related

experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Organization skillsDetail orientedTime management skillsDecision making skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsFamiliar with UPS/FEDEX/DHL and online LTL freight software.Experience operating equipment typical of a warehouse environment (lift truck, crane, etc.)Solid understanding of health and safety regulationsERP experience required

Preferred Skill and Experience:

Foam in place packaging machineKnowledge of SAP inventory - business software (or equivalent) preferredInternational shipping experienceBasic inventory and materials handling experience (warehousing)Mechanical aptitude a plus
