Inventory Manager
**Purpose/Scope** The incumbent provides timely, effective logistical support for company operations which require support from warehousing/supply. The work encompasses all facets of logistical support and contributes significantly to the successful completion of the mission. **Responsibilities** 1. Oversees the inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock 2. Directs employees engaged in conducting WMS inventories, researching inventory discrepancies, and documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance, and location surveys. 3. Responsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the Acceptable Performance Levels (APLs) outlined in the contract. 4. Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on a weekly or monthly basis. 5. Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager. 6. Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations. 7. Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work. 8. Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract. 9. Experience shall include a minimum three (3) years of experience in inventory using WMS or equivalent automated WMS withing the past five (5) years. **10.** Ensures safety of workforce by educating employees on proper procedures and safety guidelines, striving to achieve an accident free workplace **Minimum Knowledge** Five (5) years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess specific knowledge/training in inventory management, physical distribution, life-cycle logistics, and related documented work experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel. Knowledge or experience in the handling and management of government property strongly desired. Good interpersonal and supervisory skills with an ability to lead, coach, and manage others. Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment. Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and work location access. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** The position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as walking, stooping, stretching, kneeling and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds. Work is performed both in an office and in the warehouse and requires proximity to hazardous materials such as flammables or corrosives, machinery and other equipment standard to a warehouse operation. **Other Responsibilities:** Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
