Inventory Manager

Become a **maker of possible** with us. **Job Responsibilities:** _(Primary Duties, Roles, and/or_ _Authorities)_ + Ensure that the sites understand and execute the operational inventory strategy that drives profitable growth delivering exceptional service to our customers. + Effectively communicate with your team and ensure alignment and accountability amongst and between your site(s) and corporate. + Create and manage internal processes that support excellent customer service outcomes. + Lead and manage the daily operations of the inventory supervisory team. + Effectively manage and deliver to inventory control/reduction targets provided. + Work with the business units to manage and maintain inventory levels to balance customer service expectations with total cost to serve objectives. + Evaluate space utilization and make recommendations and implement ways to increase capacity as needed by changing business volume. + Lead/participate in cross functional teams focused on optimizing/reducing key inventory levels throughout the supply network while meeting/exceeding customer service expectations. + Partner with the manufacturing plants and other supply chain organizations to facilitate or implement cost reductions and supply chain efficiencies as it relates to inventory management. + Develop and implement on-going communications programs with the management team, office, and warehouse personnel. + Assure compliance with appropriate government regulations. + Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe work environment. + Assesses the level of talent in key positions and implements development and mentoring activities to promote organizational growth. + Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of all inventory leadership roles to assist as required and act as back-up at times of absences and vacations. + Must be able to work a flexible shift and weekends as business requirements dictate. **Education and** **Experience:** + Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferred; or + Associate’s degree and 4+ years related experience; or + High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of equivalent experience, required. + 2+ year of proven leadership experience, required. + 1+ years of direct P/L experience in a regulated distribution services industry, preferred. + Operational experience in FDA, OSHA, GMP/QSR compliance, CPIM, Logistics or Distribution, Import/Export, Process Excellence, Lean and ISO, preferred. **Knowledge and** **Skills:** + Strong ability to facilitate and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines; able to balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives. + Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills at a senior level. + Strong business acuity with solid knowledge of finance, supply chain distribution and employee management. + Expert knowledge of distribution operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, shipping and receiving. + Diligent and proactive results-driven personality. + Ability to coordinate, plan, manage, delegate, and oversee many aspects of the inventory function for optimum productivity achievement. + Excellent reconciliation and conflict management skills. + Ability to critically review, analyze, synthesize, compare, and interpret information and apply this when solving problems. + Must have strong interpersonal skills, including the capability to work across multiple functions. + Highly proficient in the use of a PC, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent organizational, analytical and process efficiency skills. + Strong initiative and drive for results. **Physical Demands:** _(if_ _applicable)_ The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work area is quiet to moderate. At times, position may be required to support operational activities in the distribution center. If in the distribution center, the noise level is moderate to loud. There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations and potential temperature excursions. Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
