Inventory Manager (Hybrid)
Job Description

This position requires a Hybrid work arrangement at our Raleigh, NC HQ.

The Inventory Manager is accountable for leading a team of Demand Planners, Supply and Store Planners.  This team manages inventory and all its components to ensure inventory and services levels are within specified targets and can support the demand planning forecasts. The Inventory Manager also drives and manages processes, relationships, and working activities with Merchants, Vendors, Market Availability, Visual Merchandising, Transportation, Field Teams, and Distribution Centers to ensure they run smoothly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Budget Planning/Forecasting

Participate in the annual inventory budget process ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and transparency;Ensure inventory replenishment team inclusion in planning, forecasting and purchasing plans and activities.Monitor Inventory budgeted metrics, highlighting areas of risk with solution options. Manage weekly open to buy process to ensure proper receipt flow.

Promotion Management

Approve promotional forecasts and corresponding inventory purchases.Partner with merchant team in accurately forecasting sales results and inventory order needs for promotionsDrive increased In-stock % and improved Inventory Turn through forecast accuracy improvementsReplenishmentAchievement of budgeted goals and metrics for business categories.Monitor POG purchases, seasonal builds, and forward buys.

Supply Chain

Manage merchandise inventories to achieve the plan sales, service level/in-stock, turnover, and financial strategies.Identify and communicate inventory changes to Supply Chain teams. Work collaboratively to increase Inventory and DC efficiencies.Vendor RelationshipsPartner with Merchant leadership to continuously improve vendor performance results in key areas: on time delivery, overall cost reduction, and order fill accuracy.

Communication/Collaboration

Implement inventory plans, ensuring the sharing of information between Inventory, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Market Availability, Commercial, Supply Chain and Field Teams is accurate and timely.Proactively and effectively seek input and feedback from internal and external partners to resolve issues.Effectively share clear, concise, accurate information that caters to the levels of detail needed by recipients.In follow up to immediate issue resolution, put in place sustainable systems and process improvements that prevent issue recurrence and improve company results

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Logistics, or Mathematics; and5-7 years related experience in Inventory Management, including 1-2 years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
