Schedule:

Training: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Post-Training: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (with occasional weekend overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour (depending on experience)
Assignment Type: Temporary

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Logistics and Inventory Specialist to join our team. This role is integral to the success of our operations, ensuring accurate inventory management and effective material distribution in a fast-paced 24/7 shop environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate with a team to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage inventory and control metrics, ensuring material is issued accurately and timely.

Perform daily cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Forecast material needs for incoming and in-shop operations, procuring items efficiently.

Conduct quality control processes for inbound and outbound shipments, resolving discrepancies and managing transportation logistics.

Operate forklifts safely, including daily inspections, and adhere to warehouse/shop environment standards.

Utilize multiple software systems to process material transactions, track inventory, and manage shipments, including hazardous materials with proper documentation.

Compile and analyze reports on inventory metrics.

Assist with sales of materials, process warranty claims, and manage repair cycle assets.

Organize and maintain warehouse and shop floor inventory, ensuring proper housekeeping and material handling.

Respond to Circle of Service shop requests for materials, ensuring proper documentation, transactions, and shipments.

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods.

Maneuvering in tight spaces and climbing on/off locomotives as needed.

Wearing required personal protective equipment (e.g., hardhat, steel-toe boots, earplugs, eye protection).

Typing and computer operation.

Working overnight shifts and occasional long work weeks.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED, or at least 2 years of recent and relevant work experience.

Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Prior experience in logistics or shipping/receiving environments.

Demonstrated ability to safely operate forklifts and other shop equipment.

Dependability, flexibility, and teamwork-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Oracle or other inventory management systems.

Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Knowledge of Hazmat shipping regulations and documentation.

Previous experience in a 24/7 shop environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
