Position Summary:
We are looking for an Inventory Planner to join our Fingerhut team! As an Inventory Planner you will work closely with buyers to support merchandising strategies. In this position, you’ll be responsible for forecasting and planning inventory for multiple departments. The Inventory Planner will analyze data, predict trends, product lifecycles, lead times, manage warehouse capacity and forecast inventory financials. In this role you will build partnerships with internal and external customers to regulate inventory levels. This role is based out of our Eden Prairie, MN head office within our hybrid environment that has team members come into the office 3 days a week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and implement strategies to deliver and exceed merchandising & inventory goals of turn, instocks, weeks of supply and sales revenue Collaborate with the Buying Team to build category strategies and manage the monthly financial forecast, dropship/warehouse mix, post-mortem seasonal analysis and open to buy process for your business areas Manage product & supplier level forecasts; analyzing and revising the data and managing alerts to deliver accurate projections in anticipation of customer needs Optimize replenishment settings to balance inventory flow while delivering expected in stock results Drive effective product life cycle management by recommending appropriate marketing and promotional action Partner with supply chain, warehouse, transportation and fulfillment teams to reconcile issues Develop and maintain productive vendor relationships to support department and company goals Ability to think outside of the box to solve complex problems are key to success Other duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Supply Chain or similar industry Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, and Word, including Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUPs Ability to travel 5-10% domestically for trade shows and vendor meetingsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Self-starter with a high level of flexibility, commitment, and a strong drive to win Exhibits analytical skills and has the ability to analyze and understand quantitative data.
