We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory and Production Control Supervisor to join our growing company. As part of our team, you will oversee and manage the inventory and material control processes to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring that the production of aerospace components and assemblies remains on schedule, within budget, and meets high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, production control, and supply chain operations, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain effective inventory control systems, ensuring accurate tracking of raw materials, components, and finished products.Monitor stock levels and work with the procurement team to initiate reorders to prevent shortages, ensuring continuous production flow.Conduct regular physical inventory counts and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.Collaborate with the production team to create and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand and project timelines.Work with engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely availability of materials required for production.Analyze workflows and make recommendations for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing operational performance.Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, and material movements using ERP and other inventory management software.Generate regular reports on inventory key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.Provide inventory data to support business decision-making.Supervise and mentor inventory control staff, ensuring optimal team performance and adherence to safety and quality procedures.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless communication and execution of plans.Ensure that all team members are properly trained on inventory management systems and procedures.Ensure all materials and products meet industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that defective parts and materials are identified and addressed.Identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the process and implement corrective actions.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations, improve product quality, and reduce waste.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics + 3 years inventory control/management experience is preferred. High School diploma or G.E.D. required with 5+ years inventory control/management experience, ideally in the aerospace or manufacturing industries.  Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, Six Sigma) are a plus.Proven experience working with ERP or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and materials is preferred.Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected production or supply chain challenges.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.Knowledge of aerospace industry regulations (e.g., FAR, DFAR, ITAR, AS9100, FAA, ISO standards) is highly desirable.Ability to lift, carry, and move materials when needed (up to 40 lbs.).Why Join Us?Be a part of an exciting aerospace startup with the opportunity to shape and influence production operations.Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where innovation is encouraged.Competitive salary and benefits package.Growth opportunities in a fast-expanding company.CesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.  Full-time employment offers include company stock options and a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life, disability and retirement plans.   CesiumAstro, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
