Inventory Specialist - 1st Shift - Lititz PA
SCOPE & BASIC FUNCTION :  The Inventory Specialist works in a fast-paced environment responsible for maintaining the supply of items to support production.  The Inventory Specialist will utilize 5S principles to ensure the proper organization of the tool crib from an inventory control and cleanliness purpose. The Inventory Specialist will work with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to maintain adequate inventory levels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :   + Run basic reports as needed in Manager Plus + Open/Completed work orders and PM’s + Look up PO’s + Run Asset List + Run Inventory report + Vendor Contact information + Ability to enter purchase orders in Manager Plus (CMMS). + Place order with all vendors via phone, website, or email after the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler has provided approval. + Ability to understand prints to assist in ordering parts from the print. + Does not include engineered drawings. + Check-in and provide needed access for outside vendors when they are onsite + Assist with the entering and printing of work orders/PM’s/Inspection paperwork using Manager Plus + Daily walk of plant to check inventory in remote areas (gas bottles outside, all earplug stations, safety glasses, label tape) + Ship and receive parts and materials from dock + Perform cycle counts of the storeroom parts at the required frequency and report any required adjustments.  + Regular attendance and punctuality required. + Inspect new and existing storeroom items on a daily basis. + Conduct weekly Inventory audits. + Train Technicians on the ability to use a scan gun and the process of checking out parts from the storeroom. + Maintain the management of the parts inventory and update the computer system as needed. + Maintain the accuracy of the storeroom and document item numbers, pieces and location of product. + Able to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and bring them to a resolution.  + Communication with technicians and supervisors on the status of the storeroom. + Able to perform other duties as required. + Order and track parts and materials for the store room. + Obtain quotes. + Process purchase orders + Update CMMS (M+) files + Coordinate shipping and receiving for the storeroom. + Work with vendors/suppliers to resolve discrepancies or issues with orders. + Work with Supervisors, Engineers, and Technicians to resolve inventory discrepancies. + Participate in activities for store room optimization/improvement projects. + Gate Keeper of the parts room. Each part consume from the parts room requires a work order number for tracking purposes. + Cycle counts/inventory checks/manage MRO inventory & work with finance on their projects. OTHER FUNCTIONS:   + Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS :   + + High School Diploma or GED required. + 1 to 3 years of previous storeroom experience + Working knowledge of Inventory computer systems + Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel + Proficiency in reading and writing English + Self-Driven Working Conditions:  The Inventory Specialist will work in a reasonably clean warehouse environment under the direction of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler and the Maintenance Manager. Exposure to dust may be frequent when retrieving infrequently used items off shelves or out of storage bins. Weather variations may result in frequent exposure to hot or cold working conditions.  Seasonal production peaks may result in           high stress levels due to the demand for high levels of consistently accurate and timely performance.  Physical exertion such as pushing, pulling, bending, stooping or heavy lifting of up to 40 pounds is frequent; walking and standing is also frequent.  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (adjust as necessary for this position): If required to operate Powered Industrial Equipment must meet physical requirements as stated in Company Policy.                                                                                                                                                       TASK % of Time Spent for Each Task Listed: 0-24% 25-49% 50-74% 75-100% Seeing: Must be able to read reports and use computer.
