**Job Title: Inventory Specialist**
**Job Description**
The On-Site Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels at the customer location, which may include production/assembly floors or warehouse locations. This role requires daily contact with the customer and travel between customer sites and company warehouses. The associate must maintain professionalism, excellent correspondence skills, and a strong understanding of inventory systems and customer specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Represent company values, quality, and commitment in all job-related activities, maintaining excellent customer relationships.
+ Maintain strong knowledge of company products, services, inventory systems, quality requirements, and customer plans.
+ Monitor production floor bins and storage cabinets to determine when replenishment of stock is required.
+ Perform regular inventory inspections for shelf life and expiration dates.
+ Utilize hand scanners to scan stocking locations and transmit replenishment orders.
+ Receive and verify product and documentation to ensure inventory accuracy.
+ Gather, deliver, and stock inventory storage cribs and fill bins/cabinets accurately.
+ Level load production floor bins as necessary due to back order conditions.
+ Utilize pallet jacks, drive forklifts, and/or order picker when trained and certified.
+ Maintain floor cleanliness, apply labels, and repair/replace bins, cabinets, and racks as required.
+ Respond to hazardous material releases and provide spill cleanup according to Safety & Health standards.
+ Maintain communication with customer production teams to assist in new part numbers, bin changes, and bin quantities.
+ Communicate part expedites, quality issues, and other problems for root cause analysis and resolution.
+ Actively seek and recommend process improvements.
+ Accommodate special requirements, including work schedule changes, required overtime, and working holidays and weekends as needed.
+ Follow established work procedures to ensure compliance with safety and security processes and regulations.
+ Attend regularly scheduled customer or company-sponsored meetings and/or training as required.
+ Travel as necessary between customer sites.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ 1-2 years of relevant inventory management, material handling, and production experience required.
+ Hazwoper Training (40 hours) preferred.
+ Experience with JIT, VMI, or 3PO, preferably within the aerospace industry.
+ Excellent customer service and interaction skills with direct customer contact.
+ Proficiency in inventory management systems such as SAP and Oracle.
+ Ability to perform basic math functions and use a calculator.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow established policies and procedures.
+ Ability to read, write, speak, and present information in a professional manner in English.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Some college education in a related field (such as Inventory Management, Logistics) preferred.
+ Experience with scanning, loading, unloading, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
+ Forklift certification or experience preferred.

**Work Environment**
Candidate will be working in an air-conditioned warehouse within a small business environment. The company values a clean and organized workspace and promotes safety and security in all operations.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Alabama.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00
