SUMMARY: The Inventory Specialist oversees inventory, equipment, and supply levels in a computerized fashion.
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Unity Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Perioperative Services
SCHEDULE: Days & Evenings & Nights
ATTRIBUTES
Associates Degree Business/Computer Science preferred.
3 - 5 years experience in health care inventory operations, including materials management systems preferred.
Computer software applications for inventory control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates needs to collaborating team members, orders supplies and optimizes efficiencies in supply management processes
Systematically addresses par levels and expiration dates in conjunction with team members
Maintains product availability, works with vendors as appropriate to insure adequate levels and/or appropriate substitutions are maintained, tracks back orders and works with collaborating team members on alternate planning
Coordinates recall programs and substitute products
Plans, conducts, and oversees inventory and variances
